It is essential to draw the cylinder using an understanding of its three-dimensionality in space so that the final result appears most natural. It is vital to be aware that we’re drawing an object that is volumetric. Keep in mind that according to the linear perspective laws the top surface is flatter over the other side. Then, using the strokes created in the previous step be sure to sketch the top and bottom sides of the cylinder. The upper and lower ends of each vertical line mark the near and far edges of the bottom and top bases by using a couple of easy strokes. Join these lines to the sides by using two vertical lines, which turn into the side faces that make up the sides of the cylinder. In the lower and upper parts draw two horizontal lines which will traverse the lower and upper bases of the geometric diagram. Similar to the cone illustration first, draw the vertical centerline. Drawing a cylinder can be very like drawing a cone.
